Ode to Caffeine

This is a poem I wrote for a silly English 180 assignment. It is written in the form of a "sestina," where you repeat the last words of the first six lines in different orders throughout the rest of the poem. Confused yet?

Oh my good friend caffeine
How lost would I be without your power?
You keep me awake
when I've had no sleep
You are my inspiration
when all other things fail

With your help I never fail
You hold all the secrets of life, caffeine
Outside of you there is no inspiration
you have endless creative power
I dream of you when I sleep
I think of you when I'm awake

When I'm awake
lest my hear should fail
and I enter the eternal sleep
I consume caffeine
You keep my alive by your incredible power
My life and inspiration

When I need to write a paper you are my inspiration
I don't need to be awake
I just tap into your power
that can never fail
oh great caffeine
with you, I never sleep

And when I'm in class and fall into a deep sleep
lacking motivation and inspiration
You, oh caffeine
bring me back to the land of the awake
You never fail
for in you is all power

And where do you get this power
It is my constant dream while I sleep
but I will always fail
unless driven by your inspiration
and I will never awake
Without you, caffeine

Your wondrous power, divine inspiration!
I'll never sleep, for you keep me awake!
You never fail, oh great caffeine!
